The Interview

Join TSC crew member John Harrigan for Conversations in the Station as he sits down with Trever Stribing of PA LINE. They dive into everything from sibling CD heists to storytelling, salsa, and surprises you won’t see coming, roses, rubies, and more. In this interview, Trever opens up about the influences, moments, and lived experiences that shape his songwriting and creative path. It’s a candid, curious conversation that adds depth and context to the music, offering a glimpse into the person behind the songs.

The Artist

Trever Stribing is a road-forged songwriter with a storyteller’s spirit, blending raw truth, warm grit, and big-hearted melodies into a sound he calls True-Grit Americana Folk. Based in Western New York, his music is shaped by years of touring, countless conversations from the stage, and a devotion to writing songs people can feel in their ribs.

Trever performs nationally both as a solo artist and as the frontman of PA LINE, the Western New York Americana trio known for rich harmonies, percussion-driven energy, and community-centered live shows. With PA LINE, he has shared stages with Rusted Root, Iron & Wine, John Oates, Peter Rowan, The Infamous Stringdusters, and more, performing everywhere from intimate listening rooms to major festival stages, including a headlining slot at Watkins Glen International during a NASCAR event.

As a solo performer, Trever brings that same fire in a stripped-back, deeply personal way. His one-person shows blend acoustic guitar, foot percussion, looping, and dynamic vocals into a performance that feels full-band and full-heart. Songs like “Where I Belong,” “dENIAL,” and the upcoming “Roses & Rubies” reflect an artist willing to dig deep and tell the truth.

Whether performing alone or with PA LINE, Trever’s mission remains the same: to connect, uplift, and leave every room singing. His sound is built from the road, shaped by the people, and carried by the belief that music builds community.

Trever continues to tour, write, and record new work, including PA LINE’s upcoming project Roses & Rubies, as the journey, the crowds, and the stories keep growing.
